Fourth Activity

Malam Jumat Kliwon Storytelling

Asnah and Lutfi have a task to retell a movie. Not like before, they retell a animated movie, they retell a horror movie on this week. The title is Malam Jumat Kliwon. A movie figured by Suzanna. Their teacher, Mr. Aji, ask his student to retell in group. A group consist of two students. One student retell the story in Indonesia and the other translate it to english. If two weeks ago, Mr. Aji let his student to retell with paper, this time he just allow paper that tell the story in indonesian. He want his student get used to english.

The fisrt group is Muchson’s group. He and his friend, Vishal, tell the beginning of the story. The story is “Ayu Trisnaningrat was a mystery novelist who famed in Jakarta”. The story is continue fluently till Asnah and Lutfi’s turn. Lutfi read story in indonesian but she read in long sentence. Asnah get trouble to translete it but she make out it. She don’t translate what exactly Lutfi’s says. she tell in another word but with same meaning.

There is no group group get mistake or missing the order of story till Esti’s group. She and his friend, Aan, get problem. They debate what the next story. Aan know it and he tell Esti what the next story but she don’t believe him. She must tell “Ayu asked Ardan why the window was broken” but she tell a wrong story. They get punishment from Mr. Aji. He ask them to figure Bokir and Sundel Bolong like in story. All of in the class laugh see them.

The story still unfinish till the last group, so Mr. Aji change the rule. If the story is told by a group before, now the story is told by two groups. One tell in indonesian and the other translate it to English. The first turn are Ifa’s group who tell in indonesian and the translator is Asnah and Lutfi. They are surprise. They assume that this turn more difficult than before. So they listen Ifa’s group intensely. After ifa finishing tell the story, they think in while then Asnah answer it. They fell roomy.

The course time is expiry but the story still unfinish. Mr. Aji finish the course. He appreciate his student because translate well.
